Dr. Phillips' Classes for 3-11-13 to 3-15-13



Rhetoric II
This week in Rhetoric II, students will work on their third thesis draft (minimum 12 pages), which is due on March 18th. 

Antiquities
In Antiquities, we will discuss the rise of Julius Caesar.  Students will also have a test on Thursday, March 14th  

Students will continue their assigned readings by the schedule below.
·         Tuesday The Unaborted Socrates, pgs. 11-40
·         Thursday The Unaborted Socrates, pgs. 41-73
·         Test on March 14th!

U.S. History
The U.S History class will begin continue our timeline of the War Between the States – major events, people, and ideas. 

Students will continue their assigned readings by the schedule below.
·         Tuesday – Carry a Big Stick, pgs. 72-87
·         Thursday – Carry a Big Stick, pgs. 89-118
·         Test on March 14th!

Christendom
In Christendom, we will begin our discussion of Ferdinand & Isabella, and their uniting of Spain.  Students have a test on Thursday, March 14th!

Students will continue their assigned readings by the schedule below.
·         Tuesday – Henry V, Act IV.2-4
·         Thursday – Henry V, Act IV.5-8
·         Test on March 14th!

Latin II
We will complete our study of chapter 11 and move on to the grammar and vocabulary for chapter 12.
