Dr. Phillips' Classes for 2-25-13 to 3-1-13



Rhetoric II
This week in Rhetoric II, students will continue presentations of their second thesis draft (8 pages). 

Antiquities
In Antiquities, we will continue our examination of the early days of Rome.  We will also read Julius Caesar in parts, discussing the play and the historical events surrounding it, as we go. 

Students will continue their assigned readings by the schedule below.
·         Tuesday – Caesar, Act V.1-end
·         Thursday Famous Men of Rome, pgs. 115-129
·         Test on March 14th!

U.S. History
The U.S History class will begin our study of the War Between the States – timeline of major events, people, and ideas

Students will continue their assigned readings by the schedule below.
·         Tuesday – Up from Slavery, chap. 15-17   
·         Thursday – Carry a Big Stick, pgs. Chronology-27

Christendom
In Christendom, we will begin our study of the Peasants’ Revolt and the Hundred Years’ War.

Students will continue their assigned readings by the schedule below.
·         Tuesday – Henry V, Act III.3-6
·         Thursday – Henry V, Act III.7-IV.1

Latin II
We will begin our study of chapter 11.  Students will also present their “Metamorphosis” stories to the class.
