Dr. Phillips' Classes for 11-26-12 to 11-30-12



Rhetoric II
This week in Rhetoric II, we will work on:
- Informal fallacies (avoiding and recognizing them in argument)

Antiquities
In Antiquities, we will continue our examination of the early Greeks – government, city-states, culture, and more.

Students will continue their assigned readings by the schedule below.
·         Tuesday – Thucydides, pgs. 254-265
·         Thursday – Thucydides, pgs. 265-278
·         Greek timeline due on December 4th!

U.S. History
The U.S History class will continue discussing:
- Timeline of events in the War for American Independence
- Declaration of Independence

Students will continue their assigned readings by the schedule below.
·         Tuesday – Patriot’s Handbook, pgs. 164-166, 172-176
·         Thursday – Patriot’s Handbook, pgs. 186-196
·         Early American timeline due on December 4th!

Christendom
In Christendom, we will pick up with our discussion of:
-          Viking expansion & exploration
-          Eric the Red & Leif Ericsson

Students will continue their assigned readings by the schedule below.
·         Tuesday – History of the Kings of Britain, pgs. 262-272
·         Thursday – History of the Kings of Britain, pgs. 272-288
·         Medieval Timeline due on December 3rd!

Latin II
We will complete chapter 7 – particularly the passage and story translations.  By the end of the week, we will begin the grammar and vocabulary for chapter 8.
