Rhetoric II
This week in Rhetoric II, we will discuss:
- The 5 canons of rhetoric
- Selecting thesis topics and writing thesis statements
We will also continue our reading of The Best Things in Life
by Peter Kreeft, examining his use of argument and proof.
Antiquities
In Antiquities, we will continue our discussion of the
biblical foundations of history:
- The significance of our theory of origins
- The days of creation & the impact of the fall
- Antediluvian Man
Students will read The
Metamorphoses pages 1-26 (Tuesday) and pages 27-78 (Thursday).
U.S. History
The U.S History class will continue discussing:
- The voyages, motives, and discoveries of Columbus
- Jamestown & Plymouth Plantation
Students will read from The Patriot's Handbook (Tuesday -
pgs. 28-32; Thursday - pgs. 33-39).
Christendom
In Christendom, we will pick up with our discussion of:
- The early Church fathers
- The decline and fall of the Roman Empire (the city of
Rome, at least)
Latin II
We will continue our review of:

Chapter 2 translations and vocabulary
