English 11
- using the sentence variety sheet, rewrite the Marco Polo paragraph, making it more clear and more interesting by varying the sentence patterns
- finish the discussion questions for the puritan prayers we read in class:
1.  Is there such a thing as the wrong petition?
2.  What does written prayer have that spontaneous prayer lacks?
3.  Find a passage in either prayer that strikes you as particularly beautiful.  Why did you pick that one?
4.  Read Philippians 4:6 and James 4:2-3.  What is each passage saying about prayer?  Answer thoughtfully for each passage.
- Imitation puritan prayer is due WEDNESDAY Oct 5th.  This is a quiz grade.
